Sheriff's Message
On behalf of the over 3,000 men and women of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, I want to thank you for your interest. I am confident that as you view our website that you will appreciate the significant challenges, and exemplary efforts of all of our department members.
The Riverside County Sheriff's Department is the 4th largest sheriffs department in California. In the very near future we will have approximately 4,000 employees and an operating budget that exceeds 400 million dollars. The County of Riverside is the fastest growing county in California and has been for the past three years.
With the growth we are experiencing there is incredible opportunity. We will hire over 300 new deputy sheriffs in 2007 alone. Whether you are a new hire or a lateral entry candidate be assured that the opportunity before you is unprecedented. I hope you will consider the Riverside County Sheriff's Department as a career.
