Under direction of the Riverside County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, April 7th, 2009, Riverside County is currently under a hiring freeze. However, we are still currently accepting interest applications for future positions of Deputy Sheriff Trainee & Correctional Deputy to work in the eastern part of the County. The eastern geography of the county includes Indio, Blythe, Palm Desert, & surrounding areas. Your application will be held on file for one year.
If you are successful in a pre-screen questionnaire, you will be eligible to schedule an on-site entrance exam at a future date. Entrance exam dates and times are released periodically and when released are available for any qualified candidate on a first come, first served sign-up roster. If you find no available dates/times, please check back bi-weekly, for new dates and times.
To schedule yourself for the entrance exam please go to www.asitracker.com/riversidecounty. Please plan to spend approximately 3 hours at the testing location for the exam. If you fail to appear for your scheduled appointment time (and do not reschedule prior to that day) you will be considered a "No-Show" and may be disqualified from the selection process.

TEST INFORMATION
You must arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the entrance exam in order to check-in.
All applicants must appear in person with valid government-issued photo identification. No resume required at time of application. There is no testing on government holidays. Candidates with an approved request will be given a scheduled date and time for testing. Candidates who live out-of-state must attend the entrance examination.
As this is an interest pool, we are currently accepting initial applications, providing entrance exam testing periodically, and then retaining your application for one calendar year. After completing the entrance exam testing, should you be selected to move forward as positions become available in the future you will be contacted. Please do not contact recruiters asking for updates as to your particular status at this time.
Veterans are encouraged to bring a copy of their DD214 (member 4) to be considered for preference points. Photocopies of the DD214 will not be returned. Please allow 3 hours for testing. If an accommodation is needed, you must call in to request an accommodation.
